Be ready to make sacrifices for a happy, progressive and prosperous Ghana – Akufo-Addo urges

 President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged all Ghanaians to be prepared to make sacrifices as part of efforts to make Ghana a progressive, happy and prosperous country.

Mr Akufo-Addo said this in his Christmas message to Ghanaians on Saturday December 24.<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8329284636854343"

He said “Let us be prepared to make the sacrifices that will enable us to build a happy, progressive and prosperous Ghana we all desire. I urge all of us to celebrate the season safely and responsibly.”

He further appealed to the affluent to extend helping hand to persons in need.

“Those who are in fortunate position, remember to lend a helping hand to those who are in need,” he said.

The President further said the country is beginning to come out of the difficult economic situation it was faced with in the last three<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8329284636854343"

He said “…over the last three years we have been confronted with our own captivity in Babylon moments. We had to ride turbulent storms and we were faced with the unknown.

“Indeed, there were moments where we doubted our ability to surmount these challenges.

“I am happy that in spite of it all we are beginning to emerge out of the difficulties which encourages me to say that with hard work dedication and continued progress in the management of the affairs of our nation, we will rise up again.”
